The production batch number traces the life of Italian oil from its creation to our table.
It represents a guarantee that the Italian oil described on the label is real Italian oil.
But this is not the true story.
Why is the batch number not enough to guarantee that the oil you buy is real Italian extra virgin olive oil?
The law only provides for verification of the documents, delivery note and invoice, but not of whether the oil actually corresponds to the Italian extra virgin oil contained in the bottle.
Verification of the documents alone does not prove that the oil purchased and traced by the batch number corresponds to what is declared on the label.
In our Italian oil, the production batch number described on the label traces the authenticity of the produced and bottled oil.
Its compliance is certified by verifiable registered samples.
This is how much of the oil that claims to be Italian is only declared so in name.
