Why is the batch number not enough to guarantee that the oil you buy is real Italian extra virgin olive oil?
The law only provides for verification of the documents, delivery note and invoice, but not of whether the oil actually corresponds to the Italian extra virgin oil contained in the bottle.
Verification of the documents alone does not prove that the oil purchased and traced by the batch number corresponds to what is declared on the label.
